What you can do for us
Dyslexia Pathways is now a fully incorporated Community Interest Company registered at Companies House on 13th July 2009:
‘a social enterprise is a business with primarily social objectives whose surpluses are principally reinvested for that purpose in the business or the community’
(adapted from the definition of the Department of Trade and Industry)
I am looking for people with an interest in dyslexia who would be willing to volunteer their time to assist me in various aspects on my social enterprise.
Dyslexia Pathways was a recent winner of a Level 2 Award from the Social Entrepreneurs Fund delivered by Firstport. Dyslexia Pathways currently has a contract to supply dyslexia support services to students from Heriot Watt University. There is also the prospect of other work with other organisations in the very near future.
I am currently looking for funding for a new project targeted at young people with dyslexia who are unemployed. If you are a funder or have an interest in funding dyslexia focussed projects, please contact Stephen McCue regarding any possible funding you may be able to offer. I have a successful track record in project development and management as well as a teacher and dyslexia specialist.
